DJI has introduced the DJI Mic Mini, a wireless microphone designed for content creators seeking portability and professional audio performance. Weighing only 10 grams, it is significantly lighter than its predecessor, the DJI Mic 2, while maintaining a discreet and comfortable design. This compact microphone offers multiple wearing options, ensuring minimal impact on on-camera aesthetics.
Advanced Audio Features in a Small Package
The Mic Mini features advanced two-level noise canceling technology and includes windscreens for reducing environmental noise. Its automatic audio limiting function prevents distortion from sudden loud sounds, while a gain adjustment dial on the receiver allows users to toggle through five audio levels with ease.
The package includes two transmitters and one receiver, all stored in a charging case capable of delivering up to 48 hours of usage. A five-minute quick charge powers the system for an hour, with full charging times of approximately 100 minutes for the receiver and 90 minutes for the transmitters. Each transmitter supports omnidirectional audio recording and can operate simultaneously with dual-channel recording. Audio can be split into separate tracks or combined into one. The system also integrates seamlessly with DJI’s Mimo App, offering a safety track recorded at six decibels lower than the main audio to guard against clipping.

Unmatched Versatility and Accessibility
With a wireless range of 400 meters and anti-interference features, the Mic Mini delivers reliable performance for various settings. Its compatibility extends beyond DJI’s OsmoAudio ecosystem, connecting to the Osmo Action 5 Pro, Osmo Action 4, Osmo Pocket 3, smartphones, cameras, computers, and drones via Bluetooth or USB-C. Camera connectivity is streamlined with the included 3.5mm TRS cable, which enables synchronized power control.
Priced at €169, the complete kit includes the transmitters, receiver, charging case, and various accessories such as windscreens and adapters. More affordable configurations are available, with a single-transmitter kit priced at €89 and standalone transmitters offered at €59. The charging case is available separately for €49.
According to Paul Pan, DJI’s Senior Product Line Manager, the Mic Mini combines exceptional audio quality with ease of use, making it an ideal tool for content creators at all levels.
This innovation reaffirms DJI’s commitment to enhancing creative workflows with advanced and accessible technology.
